Ok so I was at Sephora yesterday and the lady started showing me finishing powder. I have always put foundation and then powder on but when I was talking to
the sales lady she said that I should do foundation, bronzer, blush, and then finishing powder that is translucent. I guess I am just confused and there seems
to be new "rules" when it comes to putting on makeup...what would people suggest I should do?

General rule is if you use cream bronzer/blush/highlighter, then you do foundation > concealer > bronzer/blush/highlighter then blush. With powder
products, it's foundation > concealer > powder > bronzer/blush/highlighter.
That being said, I've broken this rule (for example, applying cream blush and cream highlighter after powder), and it worked fine each time. Whatever works. |

Thanks so much.
But does that include translucent finishing powder...this probably sounds stupid...but i am assuming that this needs to go on at the end? So would I need to get a powder that matches my completion and use this finishing powder after placing all of my makeup on. Sorry I have always done it the foundation and the powder that have matched my skin complextion, all of a sudden something new comes up and I felt like a moron when I had to ask the sales lady questions. |

Some people like to use translucent powder while others like skin color powder. It's more of a preference. Usually if I use foundation, I finish with
translucent loose powder, but if I only use concealer and/or light tinted moisturizer, then I might use skin colored powder. You can do one or the other
-whatever works for you.
