I know. But these things are a popularity contest, so that's why I said that.
I just thought Morneau deserved it, although I knew Dustin or Youk would get it. |

Morneau wasn't even the most valuable player on his own team (not that that stopped him from winning before, of course).
I would have given it to Mauer, who is consistently criminally underlooked, but I can't complain too much that Pedroia won. The elf was great in 2008. |

For all that Dustin went through to get to where he is today, I totally think he deserved it. And it proves you don't need to be an overpaid spoiled player
to get that kind of honor.
