I'm going into teaching and slowing working on my collection, so I'd love any suggestions.

I'll have to think of more, but Corduroy by Don Freeman was a favorite of mine when I was little. Also, The Monster at the End of This book by Jon Stone --
it's a Sesame Street book featuring Grover. Are you interested in a particular age range?

What age are we talking about? Picture books or chapter books. I have millions of favorites for each. I teach third grade, and although I want to my kids to be
reading chapter books, I use picture books almost every day to teach math, reading, writing, etc. Let me know what you're interested in and I'll make a
list!

Amelia Bedelia books were always a favorite of mine as a kid. I still read them to a girl I baby sit for and she likes them. Other then that I loved all the
Winnie the Pooh books, When We Were Very Young, Now We Are Six, Winnie The Pooh and House at Pooh Corner.

Meggers - picture books mostly, but any chapter books suitable for up to grade 6 or for me to read to them, would work as well.

It's Christmas-themed but The Gift of the Magi has always been my fave. There's several different versions of picture books out there with different
illustrators.

Maniac Magee (Jerry Spinelli) is one of my favorite books of all time, and I read it at least once a year. I think everyone should read it, adult or child. I
also got a kick out of In the Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson (Betty Bao Lord).

Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The whole series. They are so hot right now for the 3-5 grade set. All of my boys and a lot of my girls were reading it and loving it.
