I'm looking to get some new brushes. Tell me your brush must-haves!

Two essentials in my opinion are MAC's 239 and 217. They seem pricey, but as long as they are cared for they'll last a long time! The 239 is great for
packing on colour, whereas the 217 is an excellent blending brush.
I have quite a few more brushes I consider must-haves, but those 2 are key. |

I would say the blush brush, eyeliner brush, lip brush, eyebrow brush/eyelash comb, concealor brush, foundation brush, powder brush, highlight brush and a
contour brush are basically what you need. I actually got a whole set on ebay for about $37 total with the shipping and everything and it basicly has
everything that I just mentioned but I also got a few others because it didn't seem they were in with the set.

Believe it or not, I got this amazing brush set from Wal-Mart of all places when they had their Christmas clearance sales. It was only $4 for the whole set and
they're really decent quality. I've had them for about a year now and so far I haven't had any kind of fraying/strands coming out.

Wow, the Crown brushes are inexpensive! I would like to try some. Do you have any specific recommendations, bushun?

lawlrus wrote:They're all good but I like the Italian Badger Series best. FYI, you can also get a great 10 piece set of Badger brushes with Leatherine roll and tie brush case from Camera Ready Cosmetics for only $79 which is an amazing deal. CR also has excellent customer service and free shipping on orders over $50. I'm probably not helping much with all the options...

Modernkudi86 wrote:If you've not used them yet, I would. For just $30 more you could get the set of 10 badger brushes I mentioned above from Camera Ready instead of the 5 in the MAC set. The badger set is of higher quality as well. |

Sonia Kashuk has some great brushes and you can get them at Target. They're not that pricey either.

blushun wrote: Yeah, plus the brushes in the MAC brushes are a different quality than the full-sized brushes. They're not bad, but the full-sized brushes are much nicer, for the most part. I want to try Quo brushes. Too bad I don't live in Canada. I'll have to try Crown brushes, too. I don't really need any brushes at the moment, but I want to try them eventually. |

I use the Too Faced powder brush for powder and blush. It is really soft and feels good for my sensitive skin.
