I'm embarrassed if I forget mine and have to use the plastic bags there.

I brought my Food Lion bag into Harris Teeter one day :roflmao
That was embarrassing. But hell, I used it anyway. |

Why is that embarrassing, jeepchic? I use my store bags at another store all the time. They don't care.

i have these from a company called Baggu. They are heavy nylon, can fit over my shoulder, and can store 25 lbs. each. they fold up super tiny and i stick them in another bag by Baggu. LOVE them. |

I get 5 cents off my total from Stop and Shop PER reusable bag I use.

Don't be embarrassed! Be proud that you're doing something ecologically conscious.

my favorite are from whole foods, they're 2 for $3, they are made of tough parachute type nylon, have drawstrings at the top, big wide straps, and they
fold up in a little ball so you can just stuff them in your handbag!

I've been thinking about getting one. I think they are a smart idea.

I just got one at the grocery store...it was $1, it didn't make much sense NOT to get one. I'm sure I'll get over it, I just have to get used to
it.

I HATED HATED HATED when people brought their own bags when I worked in a grocery store. It slowed us down so much and they're such a hassle to deal with.

I would love them if I were still a bag girl.

I have one very much like this:
http://www.bhappybags.com...140&cat=0&page=1&featured I love it because you can fit SO MUCH in there! We have a serious oversupply of plastic bags in our house. I felt weird the other day when I had to go to the grocery store so I stuffed my cloth bag FULL of old plastic bags to be recycled. |

I have waaaaay too many plastic bags in my house. They accumulate so quickly when you have to double-bag everything. So yeah, I got 5 canvas totes a couple of
months ago, and I LOVE them. No more useless plastic bags to take into the house!! The bags look deceivingly small, but man, they store a LOT of stuff.
I only take plastic bags to wrap up meat. Don't want to risk the package getting pierced and leaking. |

I think grocery stores should start charging for use of plastic bags just like Ikea does.
