I want to start buying this stuff. What should I buy first? Please start with foundations and primer's cause I have oily skin.

i probably wouldn't go with mac foundation if you have oily skin but you can give it a try because you never know how your skin will react. i love they
eyeshadows (of course), lipsticks, pigments, glosses, fluidlines, and the mineralize skinfinishes are amaaaazing if you can get them before they sell out.

Honestly, take it from a pro, there are much better lines than M.A.C. Try MUFE (Make Up For Ever) Matte Velvet which is perfect for oily skin and is available at Sephora. It's $34 for 1.01 fl.oz. which is only $3 more than M.A.C. for the same amount and trust me, it's a far superior product. |

i use Mac for eyeshadows, fluidline eyeliners, pigments but like blushun mentioned MUFE is really good if you are looking for a foundation. The finish is
flawless. Oh and they have a variety of colors so you will not have a problem matching a foundation to your skin tone.

Like blushun said...there are other foundations that are better than MAC, or at least definitely better for your skin. I DO like MAC's Studio Fix Fluid
though, because it has great coverage. Prep + Prime skin is a good face primer...I actually like it more than the Smashbox one.
Definitely get some MAC eyeshadows though. They have excellent color pay off, and they have a huge variety of colors!!! I really like MAC lipsticks and lipglosses too. I really want to try the MUFE Matte Velvet foundation. I'm going to pick some up at Sephora when I go to Disneyland next month, since we don't have a Sephora in my state. Sad. |

The primer, eyeshadows, and lipglasses are all fabulous. I wouldn't use any of their face makeup, though. I believe none of them are oil-free and trust
me...you'll break out. I love "Naked Lunch" as a highlighter just below the eyebrows and "Ornamental" is probably my favorite lipglass
color.

Naked Lunch is too dark for me to use as a brow highlight...so I typically use Shroom. Well, I use a lot of things.
But Shroom is my everyday one.

I love MAC, and I use their Blot Powder for setting foundation. They make some of the best lipsticks & lipglosses imo b/c of the great flavor & variety
of finishes/colors. Some of their products (mascaras, foundations, etc) could be improved, but they definitely make some of the best products.
My Sephora definitely carries Make Up For Ever btw.

Make Up Forever is not carried in ALL sephora's unfortunately. Try a larger store, in a big city maybe? It is however my FAVORITE kohl eyeliner ever,
it's really waterproof and i cannot say that about MAC eyeliner. Best thing MAC carries is shadows and pigments.

I wish I had one here so I could match a color to my skin. I could always buy it online, but then I can't match it to my skin so it might not be the right
color.
