Ok, good. I went cold turkey once and my body had a meltdown freakout of sorts. Definitely easier to taper

I've taken it for 7 years because, for some reason, it stops the seizures I used to have. A few years ago I tried to come off of it to see if the seizures
have stopped and they hadn't. Now we're trying again. If they haven't stopped, I'm going to start taking another drug for it that doesn't
have as harsh side effects.

I was about 12 when they started so they were under control by the time I was a JJBer.
And it will depend on how I feel post-Paxil, but we discussed
Topamax and...Luminol, I think? I'm not crazy about the Luminol because apparently it can cause mood changes, but we'll see. He said there are a lot of
options that don't include SSRIs. If I need something more like an SSRI then we'll try Wellbutrin, although it can be tricky with seizures too.

I take Neurontin and Keppra for my seizures, and then Lexapro for depression. Hopefully, though, you can taper off the Paxil successfully, and then have no
seizure problems either. Good luck with everything!

I'm doing 3/4 of a pill for 2 weeks, then a half a pill for 2 weeks, then 1/4 for two weeks, etc. Yeah I know it sounds slow, but the stuff is HELL to get
off.

Becky, just take is as slow as you need to and know there is light at the end of the tunnel. At least thats what I keep telling myself.
But go SLOW. There
is no need to rush the process.

yeah. I'm doing student teaching for the next 3 sems... so not until after that. Then I'll be a new teacher, so I'll prob wait a little bit after
that too.
who knows. I moved myself down to the lowest dosage last year, now its just a timing thing.

I wish I had been able to do it in college during summer break, when I was just taking one class or something. I'm working now which I definitely think is
better than when I was in college taking 6 classes a semester.
