She says things like "my mama wants you to take my shoes off" and "oh mama, please sit down."

Isn't that a sign that a person is passing away that they see family members who are already dead? Or something. I could be wrong.

I think so.
Today she says "my mama wants me to mingle, she doesn't like for me to be a loner." So sad. She has pretty bad dementia. She's so interesting to listen to. Sometimes she thinks she's a little girl. It breaks my heart. |

Aww. That's sad. I hated watching my grandmother like that. She didn't even know when my grandfather (her husband of 60 years) passed away. She knew
someone had died, but didn't fully grasp who it was.

Sad and a bit scary. I wonder if she is nearing her time to go...

Last week we had this conversation:
Patient: Are there any men around here? Me: Oh, a few, why? Patient: Well, I need to leave her and take care of my daddy because my mama died. I just want to get married though. She breaks my heart. Her mother, father, and husband have been dead for a long time. She takes about her son constantly but he rarely comes to visit.

In the minutes before my grandmother passed away she was talking to/calling her mother. I wasn't there but my mom told me about it. I can't remember
exactly the kinds of things she was saying, though. I'm pretty sure that it seemed as though her mother was calling her to come to her and she was
responding to her.
