OMG, that is so scary! I'm sorry that had happened to you.
I don't throw out receipts, at all. Hell I still have some old receipts from like 4 years ago, but for bigger purchases over $50. |

I am so sorry this happened to you!! Glad you are ok.
One question now I am not sure if you gave the fake money back, but maybe if you didn't they could get fingerprints from it or something anyway, do you at least have the serial number of the phone or anything, I would have reported it stolen. Or at least the store you bought it from might have the info. Or did you save the craigslist chat or anything, they could do an ip check or something. I know it sounds kind of CSIish but just thinking somehting like that might work. Just a thought and hope this works out for you |

Now, I must keep it real with you for a minute. You have to learn some street smarts ASAP. As soon as he got in the car, you should have taken the key out of the ignition, gotten out, and gone into the KFC. Learn to follow your instincts and be more careful. Okay?

It sucks that it's Cricket because they have about the strictest non-disclosure info on people that use their phones. I had one for my old job as my work
phone - and people change #'s on there like crazy. The whole time I had my phone I kept getting calls for the past TWO people that had that number.
I'm sorry this happened to you - above anything, I'm glad you're ok and hope you learned from it. |
