I seriously have to allow more me time. I've got to be doing something constantly. So how do y'all do it?

But I have an anxiety disorder. |

Also, if possible, a bubble bath is always a good form of relaxation for me.

Sometimes you just have to tell other people "no" and do your own thing. I love reading to relax.

I skydive. I get antsy if I don't jump for more than a week.

Taking a bath and reading or listening to music.
I had a headache last night and Noah would NOT stop talking so I ran away to the quiet solitude of the bathroom. |

Try to make a space in your house that is only for relaxing/unwinding from stress.
I have a small corner with just a super comfortable chair, a tiny table, and a lamp. I will take a glass of wine and a book or magazine over there, and even a half hour really helps. |

I think that is what I need to do, Rory. And just let it go.
I'll try that on the back porch but see something that needs swept, watered, weeded and there I go again. It isn't anxiety, I know that. I just feel that I've always got to be doing something. I have no problem sitting back and relaxing once I'm away from home (the lake, vacations etc) But other than that, I just feel that I need to be doing something and that something isn't allowing myself to unwind |

I'm trying to get into yoga for that. The only problem is that the only teacher who really helps me get into it teaches Friday mornings and that's it!
None of the other teachers really help me lose myself for some reason. So only having a good class once a week is not enough, lol.

Yeah, Lauren, for the most part. More because I'd rather do something as I see it and not have to come back to it. Also because my mother was super
organized so I just don't enjoy clutter and what not.
I think now with finding time to work out it is just more visible to me. I feel like when I finally sit down for the night I've had it but forgot there was a thing or two I want to do. I haven't really drank in 4-5 years. For me to have any drinks and a max of two is like months and months. Maybe twice a year. Towards the end with my mom and grandmother I just would have to have something each night to chill me. I guess I stopped myself because I was afraid it would become a problem after they passed. I think I need to not workout tonight and spend it for me time. Even though working out is that right now while I'm losing and dieting and working at it I have to look at it like a job not enjoyment. Maybe I need to change my workout schedule. I keep my 5 days during the week as my workout days and just let the weekends go and count as bonus if I do. I think I need a weekday off and just add the fifth on the weekend. And this isn't like a stressed out need to get relaxed. I'm pretty laid back and with all I've gone through, yeah, this isn't stress. Its just saying in my mind "hey, its okay to just be a lump" Its more just restless than stress. Restless, yes, I'm restless when I see things or want to have things done right at that time |
