My grandpa and I were working today(he's my boss) and went to applebees for lunch. Yeah, we were there for over 15 minutes and didn't even SEE our
waitress. A group that came way after us already got their drinks and gave their orders. So, I sent that one out. Now I have to send Perkins. The same exact
thing happened except we were there for 20 minutes. It's like we had a sign not to serve us.

Did you complain to a manager at the restaurant or did you leave without eating?

I refuse to go to Applebees after how they treated my brother when he "worked" there. It's really messed up.

I didn't see any manager around and we were in a hurry. We were on a lunch break and were very short on time.

They hired him as a host and he had to go through a bunch of courses and take a test. The day of the test, he didn't feel comfortable taking the test, so
he called the manager and he said he could wait a couple days to go over the material that was missed. When he went in the next time he was scheduled, the
other manager fired him for not taking the test. We vowed not to go back there after that...but they closed down three months later anyway.

Did the hostess/host mess up? I am wondering if they put you in the wrong area or something for no one to come ask you for drinks or anything.

We bitched online to Perkins (we waited for over 30 minutes for our food and it was cold) and the manager called me.. and sent me a voucher for two free meals
for me and my dad!

Last Friday we went out for my husband's birthday - the tables were set way too close together and as a server walked by she knocked our table and half of
my husband's beer spilled. When our server came by she wiped up the spilled beer but didn't even offer to replace the half that spilled out! Service is
getting worse and worse.

Okay, just checking about that. I would have gone back to the hostess and asked where our waiter was. I am sorry that happened to you though.
But sending
out letters is good!

Yeah, I was very tempted to. I just have such a hard time with confrontation.

I was confused at the same thing Dana. I mean, at applebees there were at least 4 waitresses that were in the same area the whole time and the hostess at
perkins walked by us at least 3 times.
