i dyed my hair and now its a little straw-ish. i know someone said something about olive oil but is there any other home remedy for dry hair?

You want a home remedy? I swear by Joico reconstructer Kpak conditioner, but as far as home remedy, I hear that avocado is great and so is MAYO but uh no

I'm a hair conditioner whore.......LOVE the stuff so I don't know if Mayo really works--but I've heard it from multiple people.

I found that the conditioner that you get with Herbal Essences hair dye is awesome. My mum buys that dye and I use the conditioner
 . Stupid bleach in my blonde-ness.

What also helps is waiting to dry your hair. Wash your hair then put it up. Then dry it when it's almost to the point of being dry. You can still style it
but you'll stop damaging it by blasting it for a long length of time with the dryer.

1) Avoid any type of heat styling if you can help it - let your hair dry naturally.
2) Try to get a shampoo/conditioner for dry hair. Make sure you condition your hair when you wash it. 3) Don't over wash your hair, it'll dry it out faster. If it's not absolutely necessary to wash your hair every day, then try doing it every other day - I know it sounds gross, but letting your hair get a little greasy is good for it, the natural oil on your hair helps condition it. 4) You can also get deep conditioning masks - doesn't have to be an expensive one. When I bleached my hair I got one of those and used it once a week, it helped |

Try to get it cut/trimmed every 6 weeks or so, It does help it.

thanks everyone. im going to get the dry ends cut off next week - i was just trying to tame them a little before then. i think im going to try to olive oil it.

I love Garnier's Deep Frotifying Conditioner 3 Minute Masque for Color-treated hair. I use that twice a week along with their Color-treated hair
conditioner. After I towel off my hair, I apply Garnier's Leave-in conditioner to my hair and comb through with a wide tooth comb. I have combination hair
and since I started this regimine, my hair has normalized the best it's ever been.
