My 3-year old cousin has Rett's Disorder, and is mentally and physically disabled. She goes to a special school, and my aunt picked her up yesterday, and
noticed one of the teachers didn't say hello and ran out of the room. She strapped Ava into the car, and noticed the tip of her middle finger was all black
and blue and swollen. They took her to the hospital today, and its broken. I saw it-it's awful looking, and looks as if someone slammed it in a door. She
was grinding her teeth lounder than usual, meaning she's in great pain. I feel really bad.
Now, when I was an early childhood teacher, whenever a kid got as much as a scratch we had to write up a report and tell the parents when they picked the kid up from school, or even call them at work. Is it totally illegal that they didn't tell my aunt that Ava had injured her finger? It just makes it so much worse because Ava is dependant on these teachers to keep her safe, and she can't tell my aunt what happened.
