I'm not sure how to interpret the ending. Did she commit suicide? That's what it seems, but I'm not sure...it kind of just trails off.

Yeah it is considered suicide.
On another note, the first time I read that I had no idea she had sex with that guy-his name slipped my mind. Like, I was so young and naive/innocent that I thought they just kissed LMAO. |
