I start teaching next week. I did lesson plans for next week today. Luckily, I had the other 8th grade math teachers working with me on them.

It happens all the time. I teach emotionally disturbed children, and that's part of the job.

You probably finished much earlier than we did! Every spring when some of you guys are like "one week left!!!" I'm like, WHAT THE FUCK I'M HERE UNTIL JUNE 22ND and I hate you.
Yeah, I was finished on May 22 last year.

My kids come back Monday, but I'm SO not ready. I spent today cleaning out my closet and organizing and hanging stuff on walls. Tomorrow we have meetings
all day, and Thursday night is open house. I still have to get ready for open house and plan for next week.

The shitty side to it, though, is that because I'm going to Boston for Labor Day weekend, I lose TWO of my leave days because I'm taking off Friday. We
get docked double days if we take off the day before or after a scheduled school vacation.
And I have to go back one fucking day after Memorial Day this year. ONE DAY. Waste of time. It's close-out day. Can we not just stay later on the fucking last day and get it over with? Sorry for the spontaneous rant.
