Posts: 4451 (01/07/1993 3:22 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Friend Block Invite Ignore	Tags : None If you look back at the music he has been pursuing off and on since NSYNC broke up, he has done three different genres well: Rock (Nigels 11), R&B/Pop (Sureshot....which makes sense considering his background with NSYNC but I bet people didn't think he could sing solos in these songs) and Country (Gone Country). I am going to see if I can post all the songs he did since NSYNC broke up to prove my point for those of you who haven't been paying attention to Chris that much. I liked that he could reach higher notes and it was great in the harmonies, but his voice alone is like nails on a chalkboard to me. I can't do it.

I liked him in Sureshot and haven't heard anything from Nigels 11. I hope Chris gets the credit he deserves. He has talent. And no his voice isn't for everyone but I love it. I loved his vocals on the christmas cd. Clear like a bell.

I thought he could only sing in a high voice.' I thought most of the SureShot stuff was awkward. I can handle Story of My Life--- the rest of them I didn't like at all. I think I don't like Bryan Abrams voice and of course... it's just a fact, Rich Cronin isn't the world's most talented vocalist. Surrounded by a better range of voices, Sureshot might have had a minuscule shot. It was kind of a joke, to me. His song for Gone Country is really good. I hope to hear the whole thing eventually. And of course I LOVE Nigels11 and can't wait for their first album.

I love Story of My Life and Withoutcha, espessially his parts. he did amazing in Gone Country! And do you remember his part in The Only Gift? His natural voice is just wonderful!

I agree with what Kim said. I mean I was never crazy about Chris during the NSYNC days, so doubt him going solo will change my mind.

I think more what hte OP is saying is that people pigeon hole Chris into a certain range and are surprised when he has an actual real voice that people may or may not like. People assumed he would be squeaky and high pitched and he wasn't. I personally thought his contribution to NSYNC was great, but I love his solo stuff because it IS so different and showcases a whole another side to him.

I think he did really well for the song he did on Gone Country.

But I was very nicely suprised about his voice and the song on Gone Country. And all in all he has been coming across as much more sympathetic and mature in his recent appearances than he did in NSYNC. So I'd say he is going into good direction.
