My daughter bought one and I'm a bit jealous of it. It's quite cool and she got some really nice covers for it too so it looks like she has a red
voyager right now.

oooh I wanted the Dare too... but my budget only allowed for the Voyager (haha, only). but yeah, my last 3 phones have all been LGs. I'm never going back.
I knew I'd like it, but when I accidentally made it read my text message out loud, wow. I was in love. I have a pink silicone case. It was between that and white, and my friend pointed out white would show dirt faster. |

Oh I'm glad this post is here. I ordered my Voyager yesterday and it should be here tomorrow. Did you get the refresh with the newly designed charger or
did they send you out the old version?
I forgot to ask the lady on the phone and if I get the old charger I'm going to be annoyed. |

I don't know. What does the old charger/new charger look like?

Well I haven't seen either of them but the newer one has a USB port in the wall charger so the USB cord can be used to charge it apparently.
The refresh also changed the firmware. |

The Dare is too hard for me to text on. And all the cracked screens I keep reading about on HowardForums freaks me out. I figure at least with the Voyager if I
crack the screen it doesn't make the phone obsolete.

I just checked, no USB charger, though I do have a USB cable for music transfer, so it might work for that.
As far as the firmware, the guy said it was all updated, but I might bring it to the actual store too to make sure, because they said I could just bring it and they'd update it for me. The best part is I have VCAST, Mobile TV, etc, free for a month. I am loving it. |

Does anyone else's Voyager make noises when charging? Like sometimes it doesn't light up the battery charging part and makes those doo doo noises . I
have to position the charger in such a way that it will actually charge the phone.. like point it downward as opposed to laying the phone flat.
Anyone else have similiar problem? Maybe my charger is messed up. |

I got the pink case at the store in the mall I bought the phone at. I'm sure they have them online as well, it's made by Verizon itself.

I haven't had to charge it yet, but I'll let you know.
I got insurance too. I've had a phone stolen before, and had to pay full retail to replace it. If ANYthing happens to this one, I can replace it for $50 instead of $410. |

ZaZzified wrote: Yeah there are threads in both the voyager and the dare boards that talk about 'em. I guess most of them are stress cracks from being in pockets. Apparently the LG screens are quite flimsy. Mine's insured too but some people have made 2 claims already and after that Aspurion voids your insurance anyway. I'm just trying to cover all my bases here. And it's not really about calibration it's about the size of the keys and my big man hands. |

Oh also apparently they can fix the screen in store for 50 bucks so you don't have to file a claim. Just so ya know.
ANYWAY, to the OP, are you able to drag and drop your menu icons like in the Dare? (Not onto the main screen, but just to rearrange them in the main menu.) Cause if you can that means your firmware is up to date. That was one of the changes in the refresh. |

yeah, I can zoom in and out. and then wait 15 seconds for the reload, but I'm impatient and thats a bit too long for me.
We'll see in the next 10-15 days if I change my mind though. Knowing me, I probably will. |
