Addiction, coupled with the fact that it's socially acceptable.
Not to mention that subconscious "oh that'd never happen to me" belief that people will so irrationally harbour until it does happen to them. |

Slowly killing yourself is easier than being miserable for a while to kick the habit?

i started to smoke when I was drinking one night and then bought a pack the next day. I quit for a year, recently just started back up. I plan on qutting again
soon, too expensive. I know it could be the death of me one day, but its a choice I am making.

The majority of the employees at my job smoke. They take too many damn smoke breaks, and then they return and go right back to serving the customers while they
smell like smoke

My dad tried to quit once, after he found out I was allergic. He got horrible side effects from the medicine, so I can't even convince him to try to quit
again.

Well I think what needs to be said is.. I don't know why anyone would try a cigarette. Its not like it was 70 years ago when people didn't understand
the affects of it. Then again I don't understand why many people do what they do. heh

Yesterday, one of the servers went outside to smoke and these customers, who are NOT suppose to seat themselves, sat in her section. Then she got mad at us for them sitting there. Your ass needs to limit your smoke breaks! |
